Bunnings Rainwater Investigation

• Investigation of water use in Bunnings stores across Australia and development of a universal rainwater tank sizing tool to allow specification of tank capacities for a range of store sizes appropriate to local rainfall conditions.
• This project required the analysis of rainfall distribution from 111 BOM rainfall districts to develop 14 rainfall district groups. The data was then applied to water balance models for a range of store sizes and water usage patterns to develop a generic tank sizing tool that has been adopted by Bunnings to specify rainwater tanks on all new and existing stores.
